MCP Integration
Connect your assistant
SalesMagic hosts a read-only MCP server within the app at /api/mcp. It lets an assistant review your practice prospects, call scores, analyses, transcripts, and assigned training progress.
- Sign in, open your workspace menu, and select Edit Settings → MCP Integration → Manage MCP connection. You can also open your profile and select Account Management → MCP Integration, including if you do not have workspace settings access.
- Give your assistant's token a recognizable name and select Create token.
- Copy the token immediately. SalesMagic stores only its hash and cannot show it again.
- In your MCP client, add the URL displayed on the integration page as a Streamable HTTP server.
- Set bearer authentication to the token, or add the header
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN.
Use the same SalesMagic domain you signed into. Tokens expire after 90 days and can be revoked immediately from the integration page. Create a separate token for each assistant. Access is checked on each request, including your current role and whether your account and organization are active. Moving to another organization invalidates tokens created in the old organization.
Your client must support custom bearer tokens or authorization headers. This integration does not provide OAuth sign-in or the older SSE transport. Do not put the token in a URL, share it in a chat, or commit it to source control.
Available tools
| Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
get_account | Your identity, role, and organization |
list_prospects | Search your prospects, team/org-shared prospects, and approved public library prospects |
get_prospect | Read a prospect's profile and practice scenario |
list_calls | Search call titles and summaries and read scores |
get_call | Read call analysis; optionally include its transcript |
list_training_assignments | Read assigned training modules and progress |
Lists accept limit (1–100, default 25) and offset (default 0). Follow nextOffset until it is null. Calls and training default to scope: "mine". Set scope: "accessible" to include other records you can access. Managers and administrators can access organization calls; members can access their own or same-team calls. Training access covers your own assignments, your direct reports if you are a manager, or your organization if you are an administrator (including an account with admin privileges). Cross-organization access is never granted, including to super administrators.
For example, ask your assistant: “Review my five most recent calls and summarize the recurring coaching opportunities.” Transcripts are returned only when get_call receives includeTranscript: true.
The server does not create or delete prospects, make calls, assign training, send messages, or change billing.
Troubleshooting
- 401: Check the bearer token. It may be expired, revoked, or linked to an inactive account or a different organization.
- 403: A browser client is using an origin that the deployment has not allowed. Ask the deployment administrator to configure its exact origin.
- 405 on GET: Expected. Use an MCP client with Streamable HTTP POST support, rather than opening the endpoint as a web page.
- 503 or token management unavailable: Ask the deployment administrator to check the database connection and run the MCP token migration.
Administrators can find migration, deployment, and verification instructions in the repository README.
